The very first time we came across the art pieces that we now proudly carry - we saw something special, something unique. Each piece, hand-crafted by artisans who have spent most of their life's perfecting their craft, carrying the small imperfections that show you that humans made this - not machines.

From our base in Amsterdam and Madrid, we work directly with a community of talented artisans spread across different states in Mexico — some are families who have dedicated generations to their craft, others are individuals for whom art is not a job but a calling. Together, they have won national awards for their work. And it shows.
What we sell is not a souvenir. It's not mass-produced, not uniform, not something you'll find in a tourist shop next to a hundred identical copies. Every piece at Casa Unica is made by hand, individually, and carries the small beautiful imperfections that prove it. No two are exactly alike.
